How to delete your data from MathWiz and how to submit a data deletion request.

MathWiz is a local-first app. Almost all data it generates is stored exclusively on your device. You have direct control over your data without needing to contact us in most cases.

1Overview

MathWiz does not maintain user accounts, cloud-synced profiles, or server-side personal data stores. Your display name, XP, levels, streaks, session history, mode statistics, badges, learning progress and settings are stored locally in the App's private storage on your device.

This means you can delete your data immediately, without contacting us, directly from your Android device.

2Deleting Data from Your Device

Option A — In-App Reset

Open MathWiz and go to Settings → Reset progress. This immediately and permanently deletes:

  • Your XP, level and daily streak;
  • All session and per-mode statistics and history;
  • All unlocked badges;
  • All learning/lesson progress;
  • Your display name (reset to the default).

App preferences such as difficulty, sound, haptics and notifications can be changed at any time in Settings.

Option B — Android System Clear Data

Go to Android Settings → Apps → MathWiz → Storage → Clear data. This removes all App data, including preferences, from your device.

Option C — Uninstall the App

Uninstalling MathWiz removes all App data from your device in accordance with Android's app sandbox model.

All three methods above are instant and permanent. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

4Third-Party Data Deletion

Data processed by third-party services integrated with the App (Google AdMob, Google Play Billing) is controlled by those services and must be managed through their respective platforms:

  • Google Advertising ID: Go to Android Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (or reset it). Upgrading to MathWiz Pro removes ads entirely.
  • Google Play purchase history: Managed through your Google account. Contact Google Play support for purchase data requests.

5Submitting a Formal Deletion Request

Since MathWiz does not maintain server-side personal data, there is generally no server-side data for Epsilon Developers to delete on your behalf. However, if you believe we hold any personal data about you (for example, from direct email contact), you may submit a formal deletion request:

  1. Send an email to support@mathwiz.app with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request – MathWiz"

  2. Include your name, the email address you used to contact us (if applicable), and a description of the data you would like deleted.

  3. We will acknowledge your request within 7 business days.

  4. Where we hold the requested data, we will delete or anonymize it within 30 days of acknowledgement, subject to any legal retention obligations.

We cannot process deletion requests for data held by third parties (Google AdMob, Google Play Billing). Please contact those services directly for their data.
